French hypercar maker Bugatti has ushered in a new mechanical era with the unveiling of the Tourbillon, an 1,800-horsepower hybrid hypercar engineered from the ground up to succeed the legendary Chiron.
Under the leadership of CEO Mate Rimac, the vehicle abandons quad-turbocharging in favor of a bespoke 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine developed alongside Cosworth, paired with three high-performance electric motors.

The Tourbillon blends traditional mechanical craftsmanship with modern electric propulsion:
Extreme Performance: Accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.0 seconds, hitting 250 mph (400 km/h) in less than 25 seconds.
Swiss Horology Interior: The driver instrument cluster is crafted entirely from titanium and sapphire crystal by Swiss watchmakers, functioning like a skeletonized timepiece.
Electric Driving Range: A 25 kWh oil-cooled battery pack provides over 37 miles of pure electric driving range for city transit.
“Ending the W16 engine era, Bugatti's new $4.1M Tourbillon combines a custom 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine with three electric motors to achieve 0–250 mph in under 25 seconds.”
"We wanted to build something timeless that would stand on the lawns of concours elegance 80 years from now without appearing technologically obsolete," stated CEO Mate Rimac.
Limited Production: Bugatti will hand-craft just 250 units at its Molsheim atelier, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in late 2026.
Pricing: The base purchase price starts at €3.8 million ($4.1 million) before optional customization packages.
